Like contemporary art, contemporary jewelry can use an infinite range of materials. In my work I choose disposable materials, especially plastics, which have been part of my pieces since 2011, although my beginnings in jewelry date back to 2008. I want to create with my pieces a sensitive microspace for reflection on ecological catastrophes that take place on our Planet and that put Our habitat and our lives are in danger, wishing for the utopia of having a world with clean air and water, although it is difficult but not impossible to achieve.
Irene Palomar
I consider contemporary jewelry part of contemporary art and as such it shows the world, the present and makes history.
